President Joe Biden’s approval rating have skyrocketed this week after the Clemson loss to Duke on Monday.
Millions of Americans celebrated as the ninth-ranked Tigers dropped their opener for the second straight year. President Biden saw a bump in approval as Dabo Swinney, Clemson head coach and three-time winner of the Most Punchable Face in College Football, helmed a 28-7 loss to the Blue Devils.
“People are happy to see Clemson lose,” said Karine Jean-Pierre, the Whitehouse press secretary. “Under the previous administration, Clemson was a very successful program. President Biden is putting an end to that.”
While Donald Trump was in office, who is a Clemson fan (or at least, a fan of Clemson’s shade of orange), Clemson went to three national championships, winning one.
In the Tiger’s first College Football Playoff game under President Biden, they got trounced by Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. They have since missed the playoffs twice, and they lost their season opener to a basketball school.
When asked for a statement, President Biden said: “I would like to congratulate Coach Saban and the Bulldogs on their win last night.”
