Random NFL fans have been wondering quarterback Nick Foles is playing this season.
Marcus Richardson, a resident of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, realized recently that he doesn’t remember where Foles ended up this offseason.
“I was getting all of the Long John Silver’s bags out of my car yesterday,” said Richardson, “When it hit me. I don’t know what team signed Nick Foles this year.”
Foles has played for seven teams in 10 years since being drafted in 2012. He has started 58 games in his career, making him one of the more experienced passers in the league.
“To be honest, I can’t even remember what team he played with last,” said Richardson. “I know it’s been a while since he’s played with the Titans.”
Foles has never played for the Titans.
Chris Andrews, a Tucson, Arizona, resident, though Foles still played for the Bears.
“I thought he was backing up Justin Fields,” he said.
Andrews was surprised to learn that Foles last played for the Bears in 2021.
Both Richardson and Andrews were unaware that Foles was a free agent this season.
“You mean to tell me,” said Richardson, “That Nathan Peterman was on a roster this season, but no one signed a former Super Bowl MVP?”
Whiles Foles led the Eagles to a Super Bowl XXVI victory, Nathan Peterman has a career touchdown-interception ratio of 4-13, making him a hilariously bad quarterback.
“Why won’t the Cardinals sign him?” said Andrews. “Our Week 1 starter will either be Josh Dobbs or Clayton Tune, and Nick Foles is available?”
